TB5 is a peptide that binds to the beta subunit of voltage-gated sodium channels, which are proteins that help regulate the flow of sodium ions in and out of the cell. TB5 has also been shown to inhibit some peptides that bind to sodium channels, such as alpha-bungarotoxin.
