Product Information
Trehalose 6-decanoate is a trehalose analog that binds to the extracellular domain of the receptor and inhibits its activity. Trehalose 6-decanoate has been shown to inhibit protein interactions, such as binding between the immunoglobulin G Fc fragment and its receptor, Fc gamma R1. This inhibition may be due to blockage of ligand binding sites on the receptor or steric hindrance of protein-protein interactions. Trehalose 6-decanoate is also an activator of ion channels, affecting voltage-gated sodium and potassium channels in nerve cells. It is a high purity reagent with a CAS number of 924885-56-3.
