Description:1,2,3,4,7,8-Hexachlorodibenzofuran (1,2,3,4,7,8-HxCDF) enhances the expression of CYP1A1, CYP1B1, and aryl hydrocarbon receptor repressor (AhRR) genes in human peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL). It can activate ethoxyresorufin-O-deethylase (EROD), with a BMR20TCDD within the range of 0.115-0.143 nM, corresponding to 20% of the maximum response induced by TCDD.
