Applications 3-Methyl Adenine is a selective autophagy and phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) inhibitor (1,2,3). 3-MA inhibits autophagy by blocking autophagosome formation via the inhibition of type III Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinases (PI-3K).
