CAS:Iprovalicarb is a cinnamic acid derivative that inhibits the transport pathways of active substances in plants. It has been shown to be an effective chemical pesticide for controlling pests in agricultural crops and against insects, such as aphids and thrips. Iprovalicarb is used for the control of cucumber mosaic virus, tomato mottle virus, and potato leaf roll virus. It also has an inhibitory effect on cellular pathways, such as plant defense mechanisms. The matrix effect can be observed by adding butyric acid to the medium containing iprovalicarb. This increases its inhibitory effect on cellular pathways by interfering with protein synthesis.
