CAS:Roflumilast N-oxide is a drug that is used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It belongs to the group of drugs called phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4) inhibitors. Roflumilast N-oxide inhibits the production of chemokines and reduces the recruitment of inflammatory cells, which improves lung function. Roflumilast N-oxide has been shown to reduce matrix metalloproteinases in vitro and in an experimental model in mice. In addition, roflumilast N-oxide has been shown to inhibit the transport of erythromycin into bronchial epithelial cells. The LC-MS/MS method is used for the determination of pharmacokinetic parameters for roflumilast N-oxide.
