CAS:Applications Oltipraz is a synthetic, substituted 1,2-dithiole-3-thione previously used in humans as an antischistosomal agent. Animal studies have demonstrated that oltipraz is a potent inducer of Phase II detoxification enzymes, most notably glutathione-S-transferase (GST). Oltipraz is now known to be used for tumor prevention purposes.

CAS:Oltipraz-d3 is a chemopreventive agent that has been shown to inhibit the production of reactive oxygen species and inflammatory cytokines. Oltipraz-d3 inhibits the activation of the nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) pathway by preventing phosphorylation and degradation of IkappaBα, which is an inhibitor of NF-κB. It also reduces oxidative stress in the cell by increasing glutathione levels. Oltipraz-d3 has been shown to reduce DNA damage in human cells exposed to aflatoxin and may be useful for treating chronic liver diseases, such as cancer or injury.Formula:C8H3D3N2S3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:229.36 g/mol
