:Perthane
Description:
Perthane, also known as perfluoropropane, is a colorless, odorless gas that belongs to the class of perfluorocarbons (PFCs). Its chemical formula is C3F8, indicating that it consists of three carbon atoms fully fluorinated. This compound is non-flammable and chemically stable, making it suitable for various applications, including as a refrigerant and in medical imaging as a contrast agent. Perthane exhibits low toxicity and is not known to deplete the ozone layer, which is a significant advantage over some traditional refrigerants. Its high molecular weight and low boiling point contribute to its utility in low-temperature applications. Additionally, perfluoropropane has a high global warming potential, which raises environmental concerns regarding its use and emissions. Overall, while Perthane is valued for its stability and safety in specific applications, its environmental impact necessitates careful consideration in its use and regulation.

CAS:
Perthan is a cationic surfactant that belongs to the group of fatty esters. It is used as a detergent in laundry products, and has been shown to have some cancer-fighting properties. Perthan was found to be cytotoxic against human breast cancer cells in vitro, and has also been shown to have anti-proliferative effects on human prostate cancer cells in vitro. The mechanism of action for this effect is not well understood, but may involve inhibition of cell growth through glycolysis or inhibition of DNA synthesis. Perthan has also been found to be toxic against the larvae of the mosquito Aedes albopictus, which could make it useful as an insecticide.
Formula:C18H20Cl2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:307.26 g/mol
