Applications Formic Acid-d is the isotope labelled analog of Formic Acid (F692900). Formic Acid is used as a potential energy source in the preparation of fuel cells. Also used in chemical synthesis of various anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial agents.

Applications 5-Methylfurfural is a common chemical reagent used in a wide variety of chemical reactions and organic synthesis. Polycyclic pyridazine based derivatives are synthesized with this compound to form antimicrobial agents. Also used in the preparation of antiinflammatory diarylpentanoid analogues.
