Peptides
Peptides are short chains of amino acids linked by peptide bonds, serving as important biological molecules that play key roles in cellular processes. They function as hormones, neurotransmitters, and signaling molecules, and are widely used in therapeutic and diagnostic applications. Peptides are also crucial in research for studying protein interactions, enzyme activities, and cell signaling pathways. At CymitQuimica, we provide a diverse selection of high-quality peptides to support your research and development needs in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.

CAS:
Z-Ala-Glu-OH is an amino acid with a glutamate residue. It is a synthetic amino acid that has been shown to have excitotoxic effects in the brain. The mechanism of action is thought to involve the activation of ionotropic glutamate receptors and the inhibition of voltage-gated potassium channels, leading to neuronal cell death. This compound has been found to be a sweetener in biochemical reactions. Z-Ala-Glu-OH was shown to undergo proteolytic degradation, which may be due to aminopeptidases present in the gut or enzyme preparations used during digestion. This amino acid was also shown to have neurodegenerative properties when given orally to mealworms, as well as profiles that are similar to those found in humans with neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
Formula:C16H20N2O7Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:352.34 g/molBiotin-Neuromedin S (rat)

CAS:Controlled Product
Omega-Conotoxin MVIIC is a peptide toxin that blocks the voltage-dependent calcium channels. It has been shown to have neuroprotective properties and to inhibit glutamate induced neurotoxicity in vitro and in vivo. Omega-Conotoxin MVIIC inhibits neurotransmitter release by blocking the calcium channels and thereby reduces oxidative stress, which prevents neuronal cell death. This toxin also blocks the activity of voltage-dependent sodium channels, but its effects are not as potent as those on calcium channels. Omega-Conotoxin MVIIC has been found to be effective against cerebellar granule neurons, as well as other neurons in the brainstem, cerebellum, hippocampus, and cerebral cortex. The molecular weight of this toxin is approximately 10 kDa and it contains subunits (a total of eight).
Formula:C106H178N40O32S7Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:2,749.26 g/molH-D-Ala-Gln-octadecyl ester·HCl

CAS:
Amylin is a hormone that regulates the release of insulin from the pancreas. Amylin is a protein that consists of 39 amino acids, and in its natural form it is not soluble in water. The amyloid fibrils are insoluble aggregates of proteins that can be found in the brain tissue of patients with Alzheimer's disease. Amylin has been shown to have an entrapment efficiency greater than 96% by using polymeric particles with a diameter less than 50 microns. These particles are able to increase water solubility and nutrient metabolism, as well as improve evaporation rates. They also provide an increased surface area for absorption and pharmacological properties. Amylin has been shown to lower postprandial glycemia when used with insulin in type II diabetes mellitus patients, and may also be an anorectic agent.
Formula:C165H261N51O55S2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:3,903.28 g/molH-D-Ile-Asp-OH

CAS:
Extraordinary strength of the streptavidin-biotin interaction allows for efficient capturing of even highly dilute targets; however, it makes recovery of proteins from affinity resins challenging. Conventional methods to elute biotinylated proteins from immobilized avidin include the following: (i) denaturation of streptavidin by boiling the resin in a denaturing buffer that may include high concentrations of chaotropic salts, (ii) trypsin digestion of proteins while they are bound to the resin, or (iii) elution of proteins with excess free biotin. These protocols can co-elute contaminant proteins by releasing nonspecifically bound proteins and/or naturally biotinylated proteins concurrently with labeled proteins. In addition, some of these methods can cause elution of high levels of resin-based peptides along with the proteins of interest, resulting in further sample contamination.
Disulfide Biotin Azide probe eliminates a major limitation of the streptavidin-biotin affinity purification. This reagent contains a biotin moiety linked to an azide moiety through a spacer arm containing a cleavable disulfide linker. Captured biomolecules can be efficiently released under mild conditions (50 mM dithiothreitol, 10 mM 2-mercaptoethanol or 1% sodium borohydride) and the small molecular fragment (188.25 Da) left on the labeled protein following cleavage. These features make the cleavable probe especially attractive for use in biomolecular labeling and proteomic studies.
Formula:C27H48N8O7S3Purity:Min 95%Molecular weight:692.92 g/molMca-Gly-Ala-Lys(Ac)-Arg-His-Arg-Lys-Val-NH2 trifluoroacetate salt

CAS:
FluM1 (58-66) is a short part of the matrix protein of Influenza A virus which is the most abundant component of this enveloped virus localized under the viral lipid envelope. The GILGFVFTL epitope is highly conserved in Influenza A virus strains at a rate of 93% for 69 strains tested. Human Influenza epitopes may bind MHC molecules and then may be recognized by CD8+ cytotoxic T cells. Applications of FluM1 (58-66): FluM1 (58-66) is used to stimulate CTL responses in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). Then, ELISPOT assay is used to quantify peptide epitope specificity and IFN-γ releasing effector cells. FluM1 (58-66) has shown CTL responses qualified of immunodominant with restriction by HLA-A*02:01. It has also been detected CTL responses when FluM1 (58-66) is restricted by all HLA-C. Therefore, FluM1 (58-66) may help to understand the reaction of immune system against Influenza virus of each populations having different HLA type. FluM1 (58-66) has indeed prompted research to develop T-cell vaccine strategies capable of inducing specific CTL responses in patients upon immunization with Influenza M1 antigenic epitope. MVA-NP+M1 vaccine use GILGFVFTL epitope and is tested in clinical trial. Potential cross-reactivity with HIV-1 p17 Gag (77-85): Moreover, FluM1 (58-66) share similarities with HIV-1 p17 Gag (77-85) which can potentially show a cross-reactivity between these epitopes. It has been demonstrated a cross-reactivity and results suggest that immunity following infection by Influenza virus causes specific immune response to HIV-1 p17 Gag (77-85).
Formula:C49H75N9O11Molecular weight:966.18 g/molSermorelin acetate
