Product Information
NAP is a neuroprotective agent that can be used for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. It is a protein consisting of four subunits, each containing an N-terminal and C-terminal transmembrane domain. NAP binds to the surface glycoprotein of neurons, inhibiting the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and iron homeostasis. This drug has been shown to protect against neuronal death in a model system of neurodegenerative disease. NAP also has receptor activity and can bind to neurotrophic factors. Low-dose groups showed increased locomotor activity, whereas wild-type strains did not show any changes in locomotor activity.
