Product Information
Hyp9 is a novel non-hydrolyzable analog of the nucleotide hypoxanthine. It inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the RNA polymerase, which has been shown in vitro using polymerase chain reaction and energy metabolism experiments. Hyp9 also has anti-tumorigenic effects in vivo and blocks Toll-like receptor signaling pathways. Hyp9 binds to cation channels, inhibiting intracellular Ca2+ levels and cell signaling pathways that are involved in ischemic brain damage. Hyp9 also inhibits the growth of xenograft tumors through an unknown mechanism.
