Product Information

Name:
K02288
Description:

K02288 is a potential drug target that inhibits the activity of cycloheximide, which is an inhibitor of protein synthesis. K02288 has been shown to be an inhibitor of fatty acid synthase, a key enzyme in the biosynthesis of polyunsaturated fatty acids. K02288 has also been shown to inhibit prostate cancer cell growth and replication by inhibiting viral replication through its ability to form disulfide bonds with cysteine residues on the virus. K02288 can also inhibit the production of growth factors and metabolic disorders such as diabetes mellitus type II. This heterocyclic molecule can also potentially be used for treating liver diseases and hematopoietic disorders such as leukemia by inducing pluripotent cells.
