Product Information

Name:
ARQ 621
Description:

ARQ 621 is a site-specific protein inhibitor that binds to the kinetochore protein CENP-E. This binding prevents the formation of a mitotic checkpoint, which is required for cell division. ARQ 621 has been shown to inhibit cancerous cell proliferation and induce apoptosis in vivo. ARQ 621 also inhibits the proliferation of human liver cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit kinesin activity. ARQ 621 has potent antitumor activity against cancer cells and has been used in clinical trials for treatment of leukemia, lymphoma, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer and other cancers. ARQ 621 has demonstrated anti-inflammatory properties as well as potent antiparasitic effects against infectious diseases such as malaria.
