Product Information

Name:
Cdc42/Rac1 GTPase Inhibitor, ML141
Description:

ML141 is a small molecule and inhibits the GTPase activity of Cdc42/Rac1. ML141 has been shown to inhibit the growth of human pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It also inhibits the growth of cancer tissues, such as subcutaneous tumors in mice, and has been shown to be effective against colony-stimulating factor-dependent human cells in vitro. ML141 selectively inhibits cell proliferation and induces apoptosis in pluripotent cells by inhibiting the activation of Cdc42/Rac1. This inhibition prevents collagen gel contraction that is induced by Rac1 activation, which may be an important pathway for tumor invasion. The exact mechanism of how ML141 inhibits carcinoma cell lines is not yet known.
