AMN 082 Dihydrochloride is a cyclase inhibitor that belongs to the group of growth factors. It is a potent and selective inhibitor of the enzyme 3-phosphoinositide-dependent kinase 1 (PDK1). AMN 082 Dihydrochloride has been shown to increase locomotor activity in rats, as well as decrease the production of glutamate in rat liver microsomes. This drug also inhibits the binding of growth factor-β1 to its receptor and nuclear DNA synthesis, which may be due to its ability to inhibit polymerase chain reactions.
