:Cyazofamid
Description:
Cyazofamid is a chemical compound primarily used as a fungicide in agricultural applications. It belongs to the class of compounds known as amides and is characterized by its ability to inhibit the growth of various fungal pathogens. The mode of action of cyazofamid involves disrupting mitochondrial respiration, which ultimately leads to the death of the fungal cells. This compound is particularly effective against oomycetes, making it valuable in the management of diseases in crops such as potatoes and tomatoes. Cyazofamid is typically applied as a foliar spray and is known for its systemic properties, allowing it to be absorbed by plants and provide protection from within. It is also noted for its relatively low toxicity to non-target organisms, including beneficial insects and mammals, which makes it a preferred choice in integrated pest management strategies. Additionally, cyazofamid has a favorable environmental profile, as it tends to degrade relatively quickly in the environment, reducing the risk of long-term ecological impact.

CAS:
Cyazofamid is a new anti-fungal drug that belongs to the group of pyrrolopyrazine compounds. It has shown synergistic effects when combined with other drugs, including fluconazole, itraconazole, and terbinafine. Cyazofamid also has an in vitro antifungal activity against dermatophytes, yeasts and filamentous fungi. The synergic effect of cyazofamid with other drugs may be due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of ergosterol by inhibiting the enzyme lanosterol synthase. Cyazofamid can also inhibit the production of ATP by binding to the F1F0-ATPase enzyme complex in mitochondria. This inhibition leads to cell death through apoptosis.
Formula:C13H13ClN4O2SPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:324.79 g/molCyazofamid
