CAS:<p>Mitotane is a drug that inhibits the function of p-glycoprotein (P-gp), which is an important protein in the transport of drugs and other substances across cellular membranes. Mitotane has been shown to inhibit P-gp function and increase the uptake of mitoxantrone, doxorubicin, and daunorubicin by adrenocortical cells. Mitotane may be used to treat adrenocortical carcinoma by inhibiting tumor growth and preventing metastasis.
