:Oxathiapiprolin
Description:
Oxathiapiprolin is a chemical compound classified as a fungicide, primarily used in agricultural applications to control various fungal diseases in crops. It belongs to the class of compounds known as isoxazoles and features a unique oxathiolane ring structure, which contributes to its biological activity. The compound operates by inhibiting the synthesis of certain essential cellular components in fungi, thereby disrupting their growth and reproduction. Oxathiapiprolin is characterized by its relatively low toxicity to non-target organisms, making it a more environmentally friendly option compared to traditional fungicides. It is typically applied as a foliar spray and is effective against a range of pathogens, including downy mildew and other oomycetes. The compound is stable under normal storage conditions and has a moderate solubility in water, which influences its application methods and effectiveness. As with any chemical substance, proper handling and adherence to safety guidelines are essential to minimize risks associated with its use.

CAS:
Oxathiapiprolin is a novel control agent that inhibits protein synthesis by inhibiting the ryanodine receptor. It has been shown to synergize with other antibiotics, including ampicillin and chloramphenicol, for the treatment of bacterial infections. Oxathiapiprolin inhibits photosynthetic activity in plants and bacteria, as well as mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase activity. Oxathiapiprolin also exhibits high resistance against chlorine atom-induced mutations in bacteria at concentrations below 50 μM. A rapid analytical method for oxathiapiprolin uptake into cells has been developed using HPLC with fluorescence detection.
Formula:C24H22F5N5O2SPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:White PowderMolecular weight:539.52 g/mol
